Your not a bad mom!

So today has been one of those days. The kids watched a little too much TV. I did a whole lotta nothing and by the end of the night I was tired and had little patience left. I'm sure (OK mostly hope) that most of you other mothers can relate. So I told the kids to turn off the TV and head to their room. Annmarie asked why I said you've watched way too much TV today. Because mommy has been a bad mommy today. In unison Will and Annmarie said your not a bad mommy. Then Annmarie said "Heavenly father said you are not a bad mommy." oh how it seems when we are at wits ends with our kids they come through and let us know that we are doing OK.

A crazy goal!!!

OK so today my sisters are running in a 202 mile relay race today (from Prescott to Mesa, AZ). As Chris and I were walking at the Gym the other day we decided hey we want to do something like this (this is where the crazy comes in). you have teams of 12 and each person runs 3 different legs. We have found one we want to do and are now looking for people to join us. The race is Oct 15 - 16th. it runs from San Antonio to Austin!!!! yes Texas. So if you want to come and join us we would love it. The website even has a training program that starts in June!!
funny story about this photo is it is in Mesa at riverview park from last Feb. no I did not take it but I was there at the park I think this is when we met up with Amy and Kurt's family.
Wish us luck that we find enough people, and that I can actually stand to run that far!!

A whole lotta randomness

Jeffrey has been sleeping on the top bunk of one of our cribs and I was to afraid to put anyone else up top thinking he would climb all over them. Guess this is all he really wanted.

Jed turned 4 months a little while a go maybe a week or so. here are his stats
Height - 24 1/2 in
Weight - 13lbs 12 oz
comparison to the others at this time
Will
H - 25 in
W - 16lbs 11 oz
Annmarie
H - 24 1/2 in
W - 14 lb 4 oz
Jeffrey
H - 25 in
W - 16 lb 12 oz

Will one day kept asking for apples. I told him to go get some from the fridge. I was amazed when about 5 min later he was going back for more. I guess he thinks the "apples" taste good.

He know what they are but assumes that I will not let him eat straight up tomatoes. Personally really gross. Chris thinks its normal.

Every once in a while the kids are more than willing to help around the house.

Many of you have commented on Jed's huge eyes. I think I know why they are sooo big.

Jeffrey loves "B" and is even thinking that he should hold him more often. Sometimes He even try's to pick him up by himself. Just what every parent wants, a 23 month old trying to pick up a 4 month old. Safe. Here is a way cute photo of Jeffrey watching the TV. Can anyone name the show and episode? I sure can.

daily photos of the stitches and the bruise it made. The stitches all fell out yesterday. She now thinks she has healed and is all better. Thankfully she inherited my eyebrows. In a few years you won't be able to see the scar anymore.

pay it forward

A very good friend had this tag up on her blog. I am anxiously awaiting my prize! So now it's my turn to host the game. Here we go! I am unlucky when it comes to winning contests...How lucky are you? I double dare you to accept this challenge. Here are the tagging instructions: The first three people to respond to this post will get something from me! Your choice between a few hours babysitting or dinner. (yeah lame I know I guess if you really wanted I will take you to the gym with me and let my trainer kill you along side me) The catch?Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. Can't tell you how nervous I am that this will not work but hey I got something free from Jana right?

*** If you live out of state, next time we visit or see you, lunch is on me!

And the winner is . . .

I guess I always figured Jeffrey would be the winner in this category, but it is Annmarie. The first one to get stitches!!!!!

This afternoon she and Will had finished swim lessons and were waiting for Jeffrey to finish. I asked them to find a place to sit and wait (we were on the bleachers at WRIP) So she decided she was going to go up to the top (3 rows only) and then slipped and caught herself with her eye on the bleacher. She didn't cry and we went to the bathroom to assess the damage. Much worse than I thought. Thanks to some great first aid ready life guards she was cleaned up and ready to go. . . to the Dr's. I dropped the kids off at the Grahams and loved the fact that I got Annmarie and appointment 15 mins later at their own Dr's office. We went. . . she was great. She actually fell asleep after the put some numbing cream on her cut. Chris came for the stitches part, which was good. I could not watch the Dr put the needle in her eye brow to numb it. It took 4 injections!!! then He stitched it up with 5 (i think) stitches. She was rewarded with some mardi gra beads. and we got Pizza and pop for dinner. Thanks to the grahams for watching the other 3 kids!!!! Oh yeah as I was putting the kids to bed Will said mom "I'm gonna fall at swim lessons and go to the Dr and get some beads." If that is what it takes to get beads I don't want any! I couldn't figure out how to get the pre stitch shots off my cell phone, maybe some day you can see those. but here are the shots right before bed, and yes that is blood on her shirt it was a long long day. Luckily she got the Sherwood brows and will have no trouble covering up the scar.
Just had to post a photo of my little man. He was smiling when I pushed the button, but it was not fast enough.

Jeffrey's new skin cream line

I'm just gonna let the photos do all the talking

Things that make me smile

at the tunnels on the hike

Monday we went on a "hike" It really is a trail but it is flat. It is an old railroad trail but it was great for the kids (OK mostly me and my crazy fears). Jeffrey walk about 30 yards. Trying to get him to go in the right place is like herding cats. No joke here ask anyone who has tried. The rest of the time is was in the stroller.

Annmarie loved walking with Chris. Here are photos that make me smile. I love seeing Chris with the kids. Nothing is cuter than a man playing with his kids.

Here they are again.

The kids stopped on the few benches they had and I wanted to get a shot of them with Lake Mead.

Chris also carried Jed the whole way too. Another thing that makes me smile

Will was holding on to his back pockets

Other things that make me smile.

Jeffrey riding his "new" (Will's old bike)

Like father like son

- Annmarie waking up happy from a nap.

- Jeffrey . . . really I should leave it at that but he has the best smile.
- Will loving to take care of Jed and worrying that when Jed cries that it is his fault.
- Chris playing/ wrestling with the kids
- Jed's eyes
- Jed's smile
- Jed sucking his thumb while cuddling with me
- finishing a good workout
- seeing my kids play great together
- Will being so happy that he was "dry" at night. (some day this might be a nightly thing but hey I'll take what I can get)
- hearing my kids laugh.
- Jeffrey asking for "prophet" every time we get in the car. All 3 older kids knowing what every song is on the primary program CD.
- Will asking for "his" song. This is thanks to Chris not telling the name but it is an Eric Clapton song that is named after a drug. Will thinks the word is Okay.
- seeing my kids so happy to go to swimming lessons, the gym, preschool, primary/nursery.
- Jeffrey pretending to be shy
- Jeffrey yelling "ma mote" every time a comerical comes on the TV (DVR is great but he has a hard time with "live" TV)
- My kids sleeping at night
- Will asking Jeffrey if he wants to sit on his lap
- Jeffrey saying yes and then sitting on Will's lap.
- Playing Board games and puzzles with the kids.
- All the kids being so excited to see Chris and I when we pick them up from the gym. you would think it had been days. They yell our names and then give us big hugs.
- my kids and Chris
