Why must it be split in 2

Ms. Dashwood and Mr Ferris
(much better photos on the web page below)

OK for all you PBS viewers out there. Last night on Masterpiece theater was the first half of Sense and Sensibility. Oh my goodness!!!!!! I was so upset when it stopped. I do not want a week long intermission. In case you can't guess I really really liked it. I loved the Emma Thompson Hugh Grant version, so I was very nervous as to what I would think of this one. Other than Willboughy not being that good looking and was Mr Wesley Sir John? I love love loved this and cannot wait for then end. I love that I know exactly how it ends but I still want to see it. Also Love Mr. Ferris.
this is Marian and Willoughby

So I went to PBS.org and found out the this is the last movie!!!! no what shall I do. But I did find this great page. it has all the men from the movies. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/austen/menofausten.html
I missed Persuasion so if anyone has a copy or knows where I can get the PBS version please let me know.

Oh March how you make me Mad

OK so every year Chris and I participate in March Maddness. Every year I have won. we don't bet money just whoever gets what they want first. Like one year my prize was a kitchen aid. I won but it took 3 years to get my kitchen Aid. Why you might ask? well we were living in apartments at the time and the very first day you were required to leave up the silly tags on our rearview mirror I forgot. . . which ended leading up to my car being towed. So my prize that year was getting my car out of hawk.

This is year. . . yeah I think that if I knew what teams were going to win I picked the opposite. So after the first round I basically gave up. I still have done terrible but I have 3 teams in the final four. With my 2 final teams still in it. Since I am only 9 points behind Chris (do't ask how he scores) I figure I may have a chance still. So now I should start thinking of what I want. any suggestions?
no clue if this photo is recent or who they are. sorry muct not be a real fan

So in hopes of winning all I can say is GO Kansas!!!!!

1 year stats

Monday I took Jeffrey to the Doctor for his 1 year well check. we lets just say that we were not to surprised by any of the results. Lets just start this off by saying that Will was 22 lbs and 31 in tall. Annmarie was 21 lbs 7 oz and 29 3/4 in tall. Lets just say that Jeffrey is . . . a tad bit bigger. If any of you have seen or more importantly held Jeffrey you know exactly what I am saying. He is in the 90th % of everything. This means my child is bigger and better than any of yours. OK totally kidding. he is probably much heavier. He was 31in. tall which was actually a surprise, I thought he was a little shorter than that. But his weight is the kicker. 26 lbs. yep Annmarie was only 25 at her 18 month check up.

Yes he is a little tank. Needless to say the doctor did not tell me to change anything. I was surprised that he told me to keep up with the whole milk. Not that I feed him whole milk but could you imagine? how much more would he weigh? Good thing he is on a skim milk diet with the rest of us. I know what a terrible mother I am . . . well my other kids seem to be just fine. Plus I cannot bear to buy 2 kinds of milk. have you seen the cost of it lately? wow. So all in all Jeffrey is deemed to be a healthy boy. I think this is all we really hope for each time we go to the doctor.

Should I be concerned that he wanted the candle and not the cupcake?
Finger licking good.

Birthday and a whole lot more.

I'm having trouble with my camera so photos will be added later. On Friday Jeffrey celebrated his 1st birthday. It seemed that he knew he was older. He started using words, took great naps, didn't drop any food on the floor, and even became potty trained. Oh wait once again I am dreaming. The day before we cut his hair along with Will's. We paused mid way with Will to see what he would look like with a mo-hawk. Yeah not a look I would like to keep on him. Jeffrey sat great on my lap for his cut. Thanks to Marian for doing a great job.

For his birthday we had a party yesterday. Grandma Carmen, and Aunt Michelle came up from Mesa for it. The kids loved having others around and loved every minute with them.

Jeffrey's party was the happening thing. We had an Easter Egg hunt. OH the kids that came were Matthew Graham, and Mya and Sophia Murdock. These are the same kids that come to all parties. The kids loved finding eggs or more eating the candy inside. Jeffrey really like the plastic eggs best. He had cupcakes and loved eating the frosting and then dumping it on the ground. All in all I think is was a success nothing huge but I think the kids enjoyed themselves.

Today we had a great dinner over at the Grahams. The ham was great along with mashed potatoes and some great pies. I'm sure there was other stuff but I'm having a major brain fart so I cannot think of what else there was. I got the important stuff though right.

Thinking on the importance of today I am reminded of something a good friend once asked me. "why don't Mormon's celebrate Good Friday?" I did not know the answer at the time and after thinking and learning for a while I have an answer. While What Christ did on Good Friday, dying so we all might live again and be forgiven of our since (very much simplified), What is most important is that he rose again. That someday we might all have that some opportunity. I go back and live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ once again. I usually don't put Church stuff on this blog, but with today being a day that most people just pass by with chocolate and Ham. I am truly aware to what degree that I can understand of what an amazing day today really was back thousands of years ago, and what an huge impact it still has on us today. May we all remember that Christ Sacrificed his life so each one of us. May we not forget Him in our daily actions.

Hoping that you are all having a wonderful day, week, etc and that we think of you all often (yes even you who do not comment), and miss you who live away from us, and love you all.

I have done it.

OK so let me start off by saying I really enjoy reading. Especially since the writers strike, since there is nothing good on TV. But with that being said I have a difficult time reading. no I can read it is just that if I get into a good book, I ignore the world, my kids, Chris, the house. So I rarely read. But, this might all change. I have just finished Mansfield Park by Jane Austen

After watching the BBC version of this movie on PBS masterpiece theater I decided that I wanted to read the book.

I loved the book. I loved how there was really so much more between Fanny and Henry and he really did love her. Too bad he is an idiot and a scum bag and never deserved her. But I really liked it. Now I face a huge dilemma. what do I read next. I realize that I must read in moderation and not ignore those around me. If I can figure out how to do this then maybe I will become a more regular reader. So ideas for a good book are wanted. Let me start off and tell you what I like to read. Obviously Jane Austen. But I also enjoy Tom Clancy (I know I read him before kids he will probably not be possible to read until they are all in school) I have read 1 Mary Higgins Clark and enjoyed the mystery. John Grisham, and the bourne books. I really do need help picking a new read or it will be whatever movie is next on masterpiece theater. hopefully not sense and sensibility I have already read and loved it. but I am looking for something new. so please help.

You found what in his Diaper!!!!

OK those without children please do not read this post as you will/may never read this post again. it contains a rating of PD (Poppy Diaper)

So as I was changing Jeffrey's Diaper a few minuets ago I actually look at the poop. I rarely do this, which is why I can say that my child chews everything. I made the mistake of looking and what should be in there Annmarie's little clip from Church yesterday. It was black and well nothing else in the diaper was.
At first I though when did he eat olives. Nope. Wow that is something I never thought I would see in a diaper. I've heard of Polly pocket items coming through, but a clip. Nice
And as I finished writing this I turned and saw Annmarie making Woody and Jessie Kissing and hugging. Where does she see this?

Veggie Tales and Maisy

So my children have learned that the library means more Maisy books and more Veggie Tales movies. I also love the Maisy books because my kids can basically read them by themselves.

I think it was Jana led me to this particular author.

I think that the reason why my kids like Veggie Tales is that I let them watch it on Sunday. But hey they have a good message too plus they are learning bible stories. . . kind of. OK so there probably is no redeeming value but hey they like it and I love the theme song. Once again showing how I do not get out much.

Will is doing good with the night potty training. Jeffrey is getting 2 or 3 molars so he is . . . not quite himself. Annmarie is being Annmarie. My brother Rob has been here since yesterday and the kids love hearing "stories" from him. maybe I will actually get some photos of him with the kids.

Never feed your child a Blooming Onion

Last night Chris and I got take out from Outback. When I came home the kids dinner was not quite ready yet and Jeffrey was starving. So I offered him some of their great bread. He did not really care for that so Chris said give him some Onion. I said OK. Thinking yeah like he is gonna eat that. Well lets just say he did not want anything else last night. Even when he had eaten every last bit of the onion. He is still sleeping (this is a huge positive about the time change) so I have yet to see his diaper this morning. So I f you want to keep the Blooming Onion to yourself do not give it to a child thinking he will not like it. I have not yet learned how to get photos from the Internet to use on my blog sorry.
Big news in Will's life. He was dry Thursday night. I know this may seem like nothing but. It was the first night he slept in underwear. Chris has been talking to him and saying you need to get up in the night and go to the bathroom on the toilet. I was so nervous. But he work up at 330 and went then woke up dry. Last night he did not wake up and is still not awake so . . . lets hope that we are really only diapering 2 babies now!!!!!!

Why Why Why?

OK so to start noting exciting has happened lately in our house so here is a bunch of why questions. Now please do not think that I am contemplating there are just some things that I am contemplating.
Why . . . did we have Will and Annmarie so close. Yes there were strong feelings but will I ever know why?
Why. . . did we buy this 2 bed 2 bath condo? yes we knew it was the right choice but 4 years later after trying to sell it for 1 1/2 years we are still here with 3 kids.
Why. . . must you hit every red light in town when trying to drive anywhere? Chris says if you drive fast enough they will all be green. I do not want to know how fast that is
Why. . . will a little child go potty every time in the toilet when they are naked from the waist down but the minute you put underwear on will never tell you and always go in their underwear?
Why . . . must kids get sick. Just when you think everyone is better then here comes another round of sick kids.
Why . . . When you miss 1 1/2 weeks at the gym is is so hard to get back in the habit.
Why. . . is it so hard to lose weight. . . OK I know this one I work out but the eating part. . . . still working on.
Why . . . do your children know when you need a hug.
Why. . . do we always try to feel the need to keep everything clean so when someone comes over they will not see what we are really like.
Why . . . do strawberries taste soooo good. FYI Costco now has the huge packs back. Got 1 today may need to go back tomorrow to get more.
Why . . . do kids laugh so hard at each other when they are not doing anything funny. Not that I care because hey as long as they are laughing.
Why . . . do I care what others think of me?
Why . . . do I keep a blog. personally I am a terrible journal keeper so this is my family journal. without the personal stuff.
Why . . . do people put clothes on their dogs? other than Halloween.

the anwser is . . .

Wow I don't think I have ever had that many comments before in my life. after the Husband tag I got all Nostalgic about how we met etc. Good thing that while I was in AZ I took photos of this famous place.
As was stated by Nicolle this the a soccer field in Mesa AZ. I think that it was Kindy or another K sibling of mine that said it was Riverview park.
Back in the good ole days I used to play on a co-ed soccer team. This is where we were playing when Chris and I started talking to each other, I like how Nicolle put it, he was flirting with the goal keeper. So as "interesting" as the area has become it still has a very special place in my heart. The last photo that shows a pond with a little deck area (sorry i am not a fisher I have no clue what it is called) One night after Soccer Chris and I were talking right there and it was then that I knew that I was going to be with him forever. I know it sounds so corny. And I have not ever shared that with anyone, but I wanted a record of it. I could see my self with him for the rest of my life.
Sorry to bore you all with my corny details but it was not where we had our first kiss, that was on the "opportunity couch" at my house. long story but short version. my roommate had a really big couch that was really comfy. She named it not me. I wonder if she still has that couch? bet she hasn't told her kids about it

what is this place?

OK here are some photos of a place that has special meaning to Chris and I. I want to see what and where you think this place is and why it is special.

The Husband Tag

Thanks again to Jenn.

What is your husband's name? Chris

How long have you been together? 7 years in July

Who said I love you first? Chris Did. we were walking around ASU's campus.

Who is smarter? we are both smart but in different ways.

Who does the housework? We split it. Chris is great at dishes and folding laundry. So maybe I get away with less but some days he does more and others I do more.

Who sleeps on the right? I do and whenever I sleep on the other side it is a miserable nights sleep.

Who pays the bills? yours truly

Who cooks dinner? usually me but some days I have had it and Chris does a great job of picking up the slack.

Who drives when you are together? Chris. not sure of it is because he doesn't want to deal with kids or deal with my driving (which I think is just fine).

Who is more stubborn? this is a really hard one. We both are

Who kissed who first? This is still out for debate. I say he did he says I did so I guess we both did.

Who asked out who first? Chris. It was a long a frustrating story. maybe someday when there is nothing else going on I will tell that one. but hey we are getting close to our first date mark. (Friday after spring break)

Who proposed? He did. Easter morning while we were sitting and talking on the couch.

Who has more siblings? definitely me. 5 sis and 3 bros.

Who wears the pants? come on a better question would be who wears the skirt then the answer would be no one.

Chris is great to have on our family. He really loves us all more than I can ever say. He puts up with a lot from me, and let me tell you I may seem very calm and sane to you all but he can tell you I am not. Love ya lots Chris

thanks Jenn it gave me some time to think about the great things that Chris does for us

who do I tag. Bette just to get a new post, Amy Emily and Christy because they failed to do the last one. and Jana just to find out more.

I know better late than never

Here is Jeffrey just being happy.

ok so a lot has happened since I last posted, plus there was last weekend in AZ. I will mostly just post photos of the trip. We had a good time seeing family and friends. I actually took some photos so you will get to see some. Next will be a bunch of Random things that have happened in the last few days

First off Will. . . man is he halarious. He and I went to the libiary on monday. He did great but want to take home every book there. But he found a Jay Jay video that he loves. As we were walking to the car he starts talking to the DVD. "It's ok Jay Jay we are almost there. I'll get you home safe." Then I smiled and said Will your so cute. He looks at me and says very strenly "no I am not cute I am handsome. Annmarie is cute. Say it mom say I am handsome." OH man I had to try so hard not to laugh when he said that. Then yesterday morning as we go to leave for the gym it was a little bit windy. He says "Wind I command you to stop." Where does he come up with this. So funny.

Our Condo. the never ending story. Well we got a call from our realator and she said she had just gotten appraisals of our condo and they were 10,000 below what we owe on the condo. So needless to say we took our condo off the market. We are now trying to decide if we rent it out for a loss or just live here. if we ever move guess you will know the anwser.

in AZ we went to a baseball game giants vs mariners. Chris was excited to watch a real game again but he got to spend most of the time being a great bro in law and talking on the phone to the mariners trying to get money back. well he was succesful and he actually enjoyed watching the game at the same time. Way to go Chris

I am finally feeling better. I have been back to the gym after a week plus absence. Man it is really hard to motivate yourself to get going after you have slacked for a while. I am just happy to be breathing through my nose again.

We also went to a mini rodeo while in AZ. There are photos of the kids riding horse petting animals and having a good time.

here is Jeffrey and Vern. funny how they both have on the same PJs

The Library

Ok I do not venture to the library very often. ok rarely. mostly because I do not dare take my kids into a place where people expect them to be quiet. So I am going tomorrow alone or possibly with Chris to get some books for the kids. Here is the question I have for anyone who has read some good kids books. My kids read Dr Seuss. So what other great authors or books are out there? All I can think of are the Bernstein Bears etc. books I remember reading. So any thoughts on good books please let me know. Don't forget that Will is only 3 and my kids attention span is like . . . what was I saying. . . oh yeah like mine.

I will post on our trip to AZ Mon or Tues that is why there has been not updates lately sorry. Plus add some photos.
