As I gave a talk today I have been pondering on many things. Mostly how grateful I am for my family. I have a wonderful husband who puts up with a lot from me, and does so much for me at the same time. I have great kids. They have their moments but overall they are such great kids. Here are some photos of our favorite place to play during these horribly hot summers. Jeffrey has a new best friend, it is the stroller. At every park he just wants to run around with it and play. Gotta love that. Thanks to Jana for the great photos

The Trek
Our camera decided that it only wants to take fuzzy photos now so until we get a new camera we will be photo less. (hopefully we will get a new one before Robin's wedding.)
Last week I went up to WY with the youth from our church (250 in all 14-18yrs old). We pulled handcarts and slept in tents as we learned more about the Mormon Pioneers. It was a wonderful experience. If you guys ever have the chance to do one, Do it!! I learned a lot, but the main thing I got form the trek was that those pioneers were tough. mentally, physically and spiritually.
While I was gone Darlene, Jana and my Mother in law (plus Michelle and Marian) helped watch the kids. Thank you thank you thank you.
Fathers day was Sunday. just want to send a late shout out to 2 great fathers. My dad - for always being there for me (Side note they are moving back to NY he is going to be the Palmyra temple president). And being a great encouragement to me in the things that I did/Do.
2ndly to Chris. Your a great dad to our kids. They love you and miss you when your gone. Thanks for all the wonderful things that you do for us each and every day! Love you lots.

A new Computer and other happenings
So our computer decided to catch a virus, we think but really I'm starting to think otherwise long long story. But I am loving our new computer and the company we bought it from. PC Computers. They are fixing the old one so the kids can use it. Yeah no more kids on our computer!!!!
A few weeks ago we went back to AZ for a very very quick trip. Chris's grandparents were celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. While there we got 4 generation photos of all the boys. Will was not willing to get his own, he has one from when he was a few months old.
It was great to chat with Chris's grandparents and dad. Married for 65 years. wow Chris and I only have 57 more years to go!
Jed is Mr army crawl man. I love his crawl it is so cute!! I really should get a video of it. Here is his favorite new food, cookies or something with chocolate.

This is our mothers day breakfast!!! Cinnamon rolls, eggs, and bacon. Our ward even gave us great food as well, a sliced fruit bowl, fruit dip and chocolate to dip strawberries in. They had a punch, and great sandwiches. We were treated so well. Thanks to Chris, the kids, and the men in the ward
I'm still busy with school which ends in 2 1/2 weeks. Then the trek up to Wyo with the youth in 1 1/2 weeks. I think I will be happy to see July come.

Disneyland
We had a great time at Disneyland. Will and Annmarie were in heaven. Jed did wonderful and Jeffrey even fell asleep. I am a terrible photo taker so there were not a ton of photos taken.
Will's favorite part of Disneyland was when he drove the car crazy aka Mr toads ride.
Annmarie's favorite part was going on the merry go round. (really we paid money for that?)
Jeffrey favorite part was cars. I'm guessing this was when he, Will and Chris drove the car around the track.
Jed just loved being carried. He is Chris and Jed before the "gates opened" Jed was helping with the map
The kids first ride. Nemo
The kids loved um . . toontown I think
The ever popular Marry-go-round
There below is Chris Will and Jeffrey getting into the green car on the right

And were off
Guess where we are going. Well today Chris started running in the LA Ragnar race. He is doing so awesome. I wish I could tell you all how hard he has been working to reach this point in exercise/weight loss. He ran his first leg of 4.1 miles at a 7:36 per mile pace. I can't even run 1 mile at that pace let alone for plus 4 miles. Way to go Chris love you !!!
We are driving down tomorrow to pick him up. Then on Monday we are going to
This will be the first time the kids and I have gone. Hope we have fun and that it really is the happiest place on the earth.

a little political. . . Sorry
OK so this will not be a typical post, I try to stay away from politics but I just cannot ignore this. Please don't read if think you will be offended. I just have to vent and let it all out.
As most of you know Miss USA was on Sunday. Did I watch of course not, I think its a joke. But I must say yeah for Miss California Carrie Prejean, boo to Miss California organizers, Perez Hilton, and Miss USA Organizers. here is an article about what happened in case you don't know. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,517228,00.html
I am sure that nothing will become of this other than people who want to win must tell people what they want to hear than what they actually believe in. . . wait this already happens with most politicians. I guess what I really a happy about is that Carrie that she had enough courage to stand up for what she believes in. IN the article above she knew when she answered the question she knew she lost. To me it is refreshing that there are others out there who are willing to stand up for their beliefs regardless of the outcome. May the others who have blasted her for giving her opinion get a taste of their own medicine, it probably wont happen but I can hope. Sorry for the ranting but I needed to write my thoughts and express my support for her.
on another note we are taking the kids somewhere special on Monday. its a surprise we are so excited!!!!!
